Carrie Kenneally is the owner and instructor of Circ Pilates Studio
located in the Sentinel building in Midtown, Oklahoma City.
Carrie has been teaching Pilates for 20+ years and is
certified with Romana’s Pilates International®.
Since 2012, Carrie has also been a Romana’s Pilates International® Instructor Trainer. This Pilates certification program is internationally recognized, and Circ Pilates Studio is pleased to officially open the process for Romana’s Pilates International® certification program here in OKC.
After a fulfilling career as a professional dancer, Carrie Kenneally turned to the Instructorer Training Program created by Romana Kryzanowska.
Carrie had the unique opportunity to study and teach under Joseph and Clara Pilates protégé and Romana’s Pilates International® founder, Romana Kryzanowska, her daughter Sari Mejia Santo and granddaughter Daria Pace.
Carrie was fortunate to have trained on the equipment that Joseph Pilates built himself. Some of her first clients at Drago's/True Pilates NY were trained by Joseph Pilates and his wife, Clara.
Throughout her training and to this day,
Carrie brings to her studio and integrates into her work the knowledge of many wonderful teachers who also trained directly under Romana.
Carrie Kenneally’s dance training began in her home state of Minnesota at the Minnesota Dance Theatre Performing Arts Program.
She has taught and performed with professional ballet and Broadway companies across the US and Europe.
Carrie's first practice with Pilates began while studying in Chicago at the advice of her ballet director. After sustaining a dance injury while performing, Carrie began regular Pilates sessions for recovery. The Pilates work was not only essential to her rehabilitation, it strengthened her dancing for the rest of her career as a performer. This respect for and her enjoyment of the Pilates method inspired her to become a certified Pilates instructor with Romana’s Pilates International®.
Carrie also taught Pilates as an adjunct faculty member for the
Dance Department at the Juilliard School in New York City.
In 2014, Carrie received her Certificate in Dance Rehabilitation Training from Westside Dance Physical Therapy in NYC under owner Marika Milner.
Before moving to OKC, Carrie's studio was located in New York City's Columbus Circle area, near Times Square.
Carrie has been an adjunct faculty member since 2022 at the Yvonne Chouteau School, the official school for Oklahoma City Ballet.
She is also a Career Transitions For Dancers grant recipient.
