Dancers’ National Health Day!

On Monday, July 8, the National Museum of Dance School of the Arts hosted the annual Dancers’ Health Day event, which featured four members of the dance world. The afternoon began with Pilates activities, presented by Carrie Kenneally. Exercises both on the ground and on the machine followed a pattern similar to barre, beginning with simple pliés. Students volunteered to participate in various strengthening exercises to help develop stronger cores.

WHAT IS PILATES DAY?

Pilates Day is an annual, international, community event celebrated on the first Saturday of May every year. This year it was on May 5, 2018.
